I never had much faith in things like PictBridge, I am always suspect of these kind of gimmicks. But yesterday, we had a new Canon printer and I decided to try it. It worked pretty good, making 4X6 instantly. You could crop up in camera and also produce index prints. I didn't try it with 8X10 paper, but Imagine it will work as well. Quick and handy for those real rushes.
Yet Another Thing Fuji should add to their cameras.

Ian,
there is some really good new technology comoing through.
The Belkin USB Bridge technology is cool as I understand from the brochure it means that you could plug a card reader into the 'bridge' and a CD/DVD Writer and then it will write content of CF card directly to CD.
The new wireless links that Nikon have built into D2X allow auto transfer to a FTP server and also control of the camera from software.

Yes I am quite excited about this feature! I was a very early (read $500 for my first wireless access point) Adopter of Wifi at work and it's great! The idea that the laptop could sit out front in our lobby while I shoot would be a great way to keep clients out of my hair!

Ian,
Do you have any news as to when D2X will ship in Canada?.
Current news in UK is that it is Jan2005 with some saying Feb 2005.
I certainly cant wait for my units as I have a D2X and WT2 on order.

No word here. The latest news from Nikon are the Cdn prices dropping. The combination of the Xmas season and our strong dollar, they had to do something. Let's hope the soft American dollar means we see a d2x at a reasonable price.
