Taken on a Sunday mid afternoon at Loch tay in Kenmore, Scotland. Not far from my house, while I am on holiday this week trying to do the Lochs thing. Loch Lomond was done on this day aswell, although not all the shots are processed yet, and hopefully, weather permitting going to Loch Ness on Wednesday.

Hope you enjoy the images.

Heres the first one again, but withoutout any processing etc, you see theslight green hue ??? Thats the weather ... nothing much I could do about it, but I think it adds to the eerie feeling and tranquility of the place to be honest.

Your opinions are valued.

What a lovely part of the world you live in! This is my favourite time of the year too. Nice colours :righton:

Thanks for the comments Steve ... its a part of the country which I haven't explored but now that I have seen, aim to do again and again and again ... just to get the shots right ... if only I had used a tripod and better apeture.

Here is a panoramic of the scene too for opinions.

Thank you Melody for taking the time to comment. I often find myself just staring about when in a location like this instead of focusing - no pun intended - on the subject in hand, and thinking more about what I am doing.

If I had paid more attention and chose better settings, I might have been able to improve on these shots and squeeze the detail a little bit more, but hey ho ... cant wait till there is snow up here too :D

HH these are great shots of a great place. My advise would be to find yourself an antique view camera and tripod and start shooting. Large format film will really make shots like this look great on the wall. And the cameras are fun to use. My 15 year old son loves view cameras. I tend to use my S2 Pro for people and scenes that will be viewed on the computer. (OK, for weddings I use the S2 for prints but that's in a different life.) These shots deserve wall treatment and that means medium or large format.

They're lovely. I'm heading up to Loch Ness then on to the top North-West corner of Scotland at the beginning of next month, with the intention of seeing (and photographing) some wild landscapes. I'll be sure to post any good shots when I get back.

The island in the 2nd shot is where I spent a whole day a couple of years ago going back to nature - a fire, no clothes and tribal war-paint drawn in charcoal - incredibly therapeutic. :)

Thanks again folks ... comments keep me cmoing back to learn from your tips etc.

Witchita ... I would do something like that if I could afford to ... learning the basics first and perfecting using inferior equipment should prepare me for using classic equipment if and when I can afford to. But I agree these would make great wall hangers, and I intend on using some of them for Xmas presents this year at some point.

Eddie ... ARE YOU MAD !!! WHat you thinking about sitting on an island in Scotland with no clothes on and a fire ....anyway ... good luck up north and remember to snap Nessie ... will tell her that you are on your way though. Good luck and thanks for the comments. If I manage to get up this week like planned then you will see what the place has to offer you as I will post some images :)

Thanks again for the comments.

Great shots, Hairy if you don't mind me using your first name :-)

I loved the panorama and the colours were really punchy. Did you lift them much in post processing?

As the other posters said....a must for pride of place hanging on the wall.

Looking forward to seing more pictures from you

Thanks for the comments Dennis, I love this time of year but unfortunately, due to this time of year and being at work all day, its dark by the time I go home. If I am lucky and the weather holds out I can get some decent shots done as the sun us going down or at the weekend, but apart from that .. no mid week photography possible. :(

No I dont mind you using first name ... lol ... but Steven will suffice for future.

Thanks again
