Newbee Question Firewire and XP

Hi All,

just had a browse thru the forum but couldn't find my answer.

I have just purchased an S2, and want to shoot using the firewire cable and shooting software to fire the shutter, control exposure.

My first prob is my XP system finds the camera as a drive when set on 1394 dowlonading, ( this is good) but when I change the menu to 1394 shooting, my XP system is looking for a driver.

the only drivers I can find are USB ones. Is there something I'm missing???

You can get the firewire driver from the german website drivers section - but you still need the camera control software to be able to shoot using firewire - I've been looking for it seperate from the HyperUtility software, but haven't been able to find it - In UK it costs an extra £130 :(

Thanks. Found it but yup got to buy the Hyper software.

Ah well, thought I'd try the US S1 camera shooting software but no luck.
