I've been using CS to convert my RAW images, but they are noisy. I am wondering if the Fuji software on the Mac's is good or bad.

Apple users please post your opinions. I've yet to install the Fuji conversion software on my G machine.

Also, has Fuji put out any upgrades for the Mac side of it's conversion software?

Dr/Mr/Master Buji,

I haven't heard anything but a Fuji Rep is supposed to be in the building this week, I'll ask.

while it's not the most user friendly software, it's conversions are good. I don't know about the noise vs photoshop as I don't NORMALLY use PSCS.

The problem is installing, the software that came with the S20 was pretty easy if I remember right, but the software that came with the S2 was problematic with OSX.3.

Do I call you Dr or Prof Bujo?

Once you get over the initial problem of the installing Fuji ex Raw convertor on your G5 its a great package although it does look in 'appearance only' a bit basic compared to PSCS. But, after all the fuss I made over trying to get the update for Raw convertor from Fuji, i've found recently i've been opening up RAW in PSCS more.... go figure!!! :troutsmac I'm not sure about the noise matter though. You could try a free download that JPS found the link is http://www.theswampbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8482 ( Although I tried it on a PC - i'm not sure if its for Mac though) :) No Doubt, Fuji v PS is a debate in itself but i'm quite happy with PS anyway

I've found that PSCS has a much better interface and is quicker but the noise and quality is not quite as good as the Ex Convertor. For most images PSCS is fine but for really critical images you are better off with the Fuji Ex Convertor IMHO.
