Hi Pedro

Great shot!

I have a focus / Sharpness issue with my S2 and wondered if you could help shed some light on the problem. For your shot what camera sharpness setting did you use? Have you had any focus / sharpness problems?

I am using a 28-105mm 3.5/4.5D Nikkor and have been less than happy with the sharpness of my images of people. I contacted Fuji convinced (almost) that it isn't me! They said that wedding photographers that used the S1 wanted the S2 to be less sharp and that I should set the S2 to Hard and apply 150% 2 & 2 USM in PS. I think there may be a cover-up, what do you think?

Hi David

The camera settings in this image are: STD/STD/STD

For what I obtain to see in this image, I cannot myself be complained of the detail lack, however this photo was taken off with a lens, in my opinion, excellent, therefore already I have tested with other lenses and for times I do not obtain to get the same resulted of detail as I obtained with this. However, and following some affirmations that I see in some forums and with some bedding, if to always be able purchase the best lenses, to be able to all use to advantage to the maximum the income of the CCD of the S2...

Currently I have used STD/STD/HARD, and I obtain to better take off income with the generality of the lenses that I use.

Hi Pedro

Thanks for the reply.

My S2 has now gone to Fuji UK for repair. In its place I will be using a loan D100. I hope Fuji can sort out the problem as I believe that the S2 is a great camera when its working properly!

Cheers

David

David,

I just got my S2 and I'm using the same lense. My photos of people are razor sharp unless I shake the camera. I haven't played around with long range shots yet.

Glad someone is getting sharp images from their S2. Fuji have now had my camera twice and I still can't get razor sharp images. In order to sort out the situation I am getting a replacement from the retailer. Incidently both the retailer and Fuji have been fantastic, very helpful.
