Some years ago I had an evaluation copy of a program that apart from reading exif information also rotates images without altering the data, that is: you rotate a file that has 2367kb and after rotation the file still has 2367kb. What surprised me is that FinePix Viewer does it the cheap way, and it alters the jpg data, which leads to decreased quality after rotation. Where can I get such software?

Seems like I've found it. I woke up in the very middle of the night with the thought that some three years ago (or more) I came across a webstie with such a program to download. I knew that its name had something to do with eating, with cakes or cookies. I was sitting on my bed overheating my brain cells. I finally typed in google: pie, +exif

There it is... a simple exif viewer, batch renamer and picture rotator, picture information extractor (PIE).

The possibilities of the human brain are amazing... You just skim through thousands of websites in the course of years and yet it is all recorded and stored somewhere. I wish I had a CompactFlash of such capacity in my S2 :D

Oh.. I forgot that the program is at www.picmeta.com
