Yes some good tips and tricks in there.
One point made was that if the exposure is correct then the adjustments are easy. Very true. ;-)

That's a great one, Mike. I've made a PDF out of it so I can read it for reference without hitting the site. I've used ACR for a while now, but there were ideas there I'd missed.

me too Tom. Learning how to use the "Alt" tab to check highlight and shadow clipping is great!

What blew me away was using the histogram to set color temperature to avoid clipping. It fixed a couple of troublesome shots for me.

Mike - thanks for the reference. Tom - good idea on the PDF ... I did the same. Anyone wanting to get the pdf I have it available at:
http://www.twinoakphoto.com/download/acr.pdf
Is this OK/Legal for me to do? The reference to Outback Photo is still there ... if not, I will delete it.
Bill
ps....no use looking at my main page - old design - haven't updated it for years ...

Just started messing with it myself, thanx for the PDF. I find the 'auto' white balance pretty amazing! I'll have to brush up on the rest of the stuff.
Thanx again for the link and the PDF,

Bill, you're probably OK but it would depend on just how Outback asserted their copyright. Generally, something published in the 'open' as the Internet is not public domain if the owner copyrights it and thus the owner has some rights with respect to how it's used. My feeling is that as long as you don't use the PDF for commercial purposes, it would be fine.
Those who want to make their own PDFs and have Windows can go to www.sourceforge.com and download PDFCreator, which is free and which lets you print to a virtual printer that creates the PDF. It works from any program that can print.

Thanks Mike & Bill, I'm going to print the .pdf and digest it when wider awake!
