I've recorded an action that resizes an image to 4 inches by 6 inches at 240 ppi, saves it as a jpeg to another folder, and closes the file. When I apply the action to an individual image things work out fine. But in batch mode, selecting the folder of images I want to work on and the folder to save the results in, the images end up with the right number of pixels (1440x960), but they are shmeared all over a 20 by 13.333 inch image at 72 ppi. I get the same result in both CS and 7, so I am thinking it isn't them, it's me. Can anybody clue in the clueless?

Can you post the action so that we can download it and try it to see what you are getting?

OK, here is my brilliantly conceived action. It is so simple I am embarassed. Note that when you double click the resize step, the document size is 4x6 at a resolution of 240 ppi. And that is what I get when the action is applied to an open image. The problem occurs when I run a batch. Then the resolution of the saved files mysteriously is set to 72 ppi.

Hi Tony,
Just tried your action and had no problems. It came out at 240 dpi at 6x4 inches. Batch or single process.

What do your settings on this page show? That could make a difference.
