How did I start to get intrigued with low light pictures? When my daughter ask me to take a picture of her lights, that's how. Picture 1, upper left - that won't do. Picture two, upper right - she liked that just fine. These were taken with my Olympus E20N. So I started thinking about when I use the 1.4x tele extension without zooming all the way in, you only get a picture of the a circle in the middle. So I tried to take a picture of just the globe light, picture 3, lower left. Not quite what I wanted. Fiddle, fiddle, fiddle and finally picture 4, lower right, just what I was looking for. How did I do it? Heck, I don't know, I was just fouling around.

My question? Can someone tell me a web site or a good book on low light photography? I really find it interesting and would like to learn how to do it on purpose.

Thank you
JR

I'm kind of excited to see what I can do with the additional features I now have available with my S2.:)

Hello JR,

I can't tell you if it is the best one on the market, but I purchased a book by Lee Frost on nighttime and low light photography that gave me a lot of useful information. Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate it on my bookshelf right at the moment, and can't remember the exact title, but if you do a search on Amazon.com for that author, it should be easy enough to find.
