I photographed some seal rings (similar to college class rings)using Micro-Nikkor 105mm and 55mm lenses -- AI, non-autofocus -- with PK-12 or PK-13 extension rings. Results are excellent, but...
Four frames out of about eighty were grossly overexposed, with only the darkest details visible, fringed with yellow on a field of white. My guess from their appearance is that the lens failed to stop down. (My camera is set for postview display, so I was able to repeat each bad shot immediately and not lose a photo.) Has anybody run into this?
