dark raw images

My S2 images in the RAW format always come in dark. I have adjusted the exposures and tested various but they are still dark. In the EX converter, I can lighten them but I wanted to know if this is the usual for the S2?

I've taken a lot of RAW pics and the exposures have been good, requiring very little alteration, if any.

Hi Jack - can you provide more information about how you are using the camera to create raw files? what kind of shots - studio or location, lighting, exposure, metering, using manual, shutter-P or aperture-P, ISO settings, etc.?

Have you compared a hand held meter or a filmbody meter to the exposure the S2 is getting?

Have you compared a .raf (RAW) shot with an equivalent JPEG and TIFF?
