I still use EX, I have CS but don't use the converter. Do you guys and gals that use the CS converter have a pre set that works for the S2? And also what do you set the export px at? In EX there isnt a px setting, I like that better than setting a number. As a converted RAW I want ALL the px I have and then crop the image later. Do you just set it like a full export of 72ppi. I do like the looks of CS converter, just havent liked the resalts so far. Thanks

I now use ACR with CS, but I don't find that it's possible to create a single setting and save it for use on all images. The key adjustments on ACR are the exposure and shadow settings, and you have to set them on a per-image basis to get the best results. However, the remainder of the settings seem to work pretty much as the plugin defaults them. Sometimes you need to tweak contrast or saturation, but again that's on a per-image basis.

Thanks Tom, I need to play around with it more. I might learn to like it more than EX.

I find that using a contrast of +30 gives a result that is nearer to the +25 that "camera settings" selects...

Rockyw,

CS doesn't read what the camera setting was so it has a basic default setting which can be changed to suit your own preferences. If you like highly saturated and contrasty images then you increase these in the main window and then set these to camera default. I think it also applies to the colour. I usually leave this 'as shot' for the default and then adjust it on a per image basis. You can do this for all shots and just update the info by pressing the alt key on a mac which turns the OK button to UPDATE. Once you have done this with all your images you can then set up different actions or scripts to open the images and save them as tiffs. I find this saves a lot of time as I can go off and do something else.
As to the dpi bit, I usually set it at 300dpi as that is what I print at. You can set it at 72 and then change it once in photoshop.
