Yup,
Sick of this overpriced embarrasment:
1. images Soft or Out of focus.
2. Flash shots overexposed.
Looks like the new CAnon Eos 10d is the way to go.
About 800 bucks cheaper too!

Hi Deb!
Just curious... when and where did you get your S2? I got mine in Dec '02, ordered from Canada....

I wouldn't give up yet. I sent mine in and they adjusted the auto focus. Look's fine now. Re over-exposing flash....in ttl I find this to be true. I get around it by using the Auto flash setting when shooting direct flash..but ttl when bouncing. Also, if you under expose by 1 or 2 stops and shoot direct ttl...so far that appears to work.

Hi Debby,
I felt like you, but I stuck with the camera and read the manual over and over. The camera just seemed too complicated, but now I love it.
I shoot flash on "Manual" You can stop down to the smallest opening, and avoid Over exposure. Use a defuser on the flash and bounce wherever possible. Just be sure to check the screen whenever you make a change.
Out of focus? What lenses are you using? Are you shooting Wide Open? On some lenses, at max aperature, if you focus on the eye the nose is out. Stop down. Most lenses perform best at F8 or f5.6. The range of shutter speeds and ISO is so great on this camera you can literally take a photo in a coal mine without flash.
Get your Fuji out and keep trying and keep learning.
