S2 for measurements

Anyone using S2 pictures for measuring small objects? I use
a 60mm lens and set up for a field of view 40mm wide. This
gives a resolution of .009mm per pixel. Comments?

That is interesting. How do you figure out that it is .009mm per pixel? What do you measure with this method? Does lens distortion or perspective change the measurements from center to edge?

Tom,
If you take 40mm and divide it by 4256 pixels you get
.0093 mm per pixel. Different fields will give different resolutions.
Lens distortion has not been a problem. I can't go into
much detail.
