These two shots were taken in a dark (ish) castle room , shot at 1600 ISO and held held , i did'nt even take a lot of care trying to do a real steady handhold , just held it up and shot , i'm really impressed with the outcome here . bit of noise but i expected that .

Brian,
I must admit that D70 images look better at hi iso speeds due to the monochromatic noise.
Very well done Nikon.

That's really good, Brian, and encouraging for me because if for some reason I don't get an S3 or D2X I was looking at the D70 as my second back.

Hay Brian it's been awhile, thought I say nicely done. Based on what Swampy told me about the D70 I went out and picked up one myself. Main reason was for the ability of putting on flash and being able to take night pictures of American football at 1/500th. Any pointers you recommend I should try to stop the players in their tracks using flash? I'm using the Nikon SB600 flash with the D70. Lens is a 80-200VR.
So far I'm really happy with the D70 for my second camera. Thanks for the hot tip Swampy! :)

Hi Rick you're right it's been a time , last time we spoke you had your foot in plaster .
Can't help with freezing motion i'm afraid it's not anything i've tried much of , but i'm sure that many of the members here will help out if you ask it as a question .
