Arrrrrrrrggggggggggggggg.
If I don't reduce them so much they won't post.
If I reduce em enough to get them to post they look so bad.
Reducing them from 40MB doesn't seem to work so well for me.
Sigh.

I don't know how you're trying to reduce the size Bruce, but the limit here is 256k file sizes. Most people get away with 800x600 or so in size and they end up with around 100-125k file sizes.

How are you resizing the pic and saving it? Nice shot by the way!

Usually I tried downsizing in Photoshop but this time I used the prepare image for web action.
I will try redoing another shot.

What I do in photoshop is to reduce the size of the image to 800 x 600 pixels at 72 dpi with bicubic sampling. View the image at 100% then sharpen a liitle using my preferred sharpening technique then save as jpeg and set the quality to about 8-10. This usually gives a file under 256.
You could use a script program in CS that has been put in another post (http://www.theswampbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6780).
The script can produce jpegs in one go to whatever size you want.
