Anyone have recommendations for a paper trimmer? I have cheaper one (Fiskers) but would like to upgrade. Thanks.

Carlton,

I also have one of the Fisker rotary tools and wanted something better, I was at a Harbor Freight Tool a while back and picked up a 12 inch guillotine model. All steel construction except for the movable guide which is ABS plastic and it works great as long as you do not need any thing larger that 10 x 12 inches. It is currently on sale at $12.99 and I have attached a link to their website.

Tony,
Thanks for the info. I think I'll stick now with the safer rotary trimmers so the kids can keep their fingers. I did find one at Dick Blic that looks good. But $150.00...

Carlton,

I have a Dahle 28" cutter that is about in that price range and love it. Very predictable once you do a little practice and VERY helpful! It's one of those purchases you initially choke on but I would never give it up now that I have it!

Check out the Carl RT-200, $30 @ either B&H or OfficeMax... a nice safe rototrimmer. They also have some larger ones.

I have a large Fiskars rotocutter that cuts super 'B" paper with ease.

I use a cutting matt with a long stainless steel ruler taped at the ends so you can slip your print under it.
I use a Swann Norton surgical scalpel with a #3 blade and get precise cuts.
