Hi All.
This has nothing to do with photography whatsoever.
My Avatar is my cat called misty ,in febuary this year she developed a lump by one of her mammery glands ,this was removed ,and yes ,it was Cancer. :( .
last week the lumps (now three of them) came back.
This time it was a major op ,60 stiches in a small cat...
The Vets say it`sa 50/50 chanch of it returning ,if it comes back then.......well we wont talk about that..
We also have her "Husband" monty and two of her offspring Marty and Percy.
My point is ,What ever your religion or belief system ,a 5 second thought for misty will cost nothing ,and who knows????.
Thanks everyone.

Daryll,
We also have a very aged moggy who patiently takes her two tablets every night - one for heart condition and one for thyroid!!! I know how fond one can get of these furry aristocrats. I hope all goes well with your cat.
Best wishes

Daryll,
Best wishes to Misty - hope there's improvement.
Cheers, Robin
BTW, I was just writing in another thread about what a wonderful friendly forum this is - what other camera forum cares so much about its members' pets?

Daryll, You got it. We have three new kitties in our home. Miss Bear, Diane and Rags. Oh, we'll be adding a Great Dane tomorrow. I'll send up a prayer or two for your cat and household.

My hopes for the best for your little friend, Daryll. Interesting coincidence, my first childhood pet was named Misty. My Misty was a dog, but she's the pet I'll always miss.
Hope things turn out well for your little buddy also, Brian.

Daryll,
Thoughts and prayers are with Misty. I lost my two cats this year and my best friend (Woody - Black Labrador) is 13 and has arthritis, so I understand where you're coming from.
I really hope all is OK.

Daryll, I pray you hope for your strength in decisions you may have to make and I pray Misty, comfort and a recovery.
I lost my best friend of 15 years, Alex, my English ****er Spaniel a year ago last week.
He too had cancer and he had radiation, surgery and we did all we could to save him. We finally had to let him go and it truly is hard to say good-by to such a beloved friend.
I wish Misty the best and that you can help her all you can.

Hi Bruce.
Thanks for asking mate.
She went to the vets on wensday evening and had about 30 stiches out (left 30 in as well).
She is eating ok and is intergrating slowly with the rest of the cats and dog.
She has the rest of her stiches out next tuesday and we will take it from there.
 daryll

Good to hear she's up and about.
Spoil her silly with good eats and love.
Best wishes for you both.
I hope you are holding up as well. I was SO depressed when Alex was sick.
Take care.

go Misty!
Now I'm hearing that jazz standard in my head, I love that tune, no matter how trite it is and how much my jazz player friends hate playing it!
I hope she's all better soon. I've had a scare recently too (see the pray for boo thread). Boo hopes she's well and wouldn't mind a spotted monster sniffing at her.
The other day I saw a rotweiller (?SP) running around one of our parks, unleashed. It caught my eye because of the leash law, and because this dog was SO happy just chasing a ball the owner was throwing. I watched him for a few minutes before I realized that he was missing one of his hind legs. Man, that really hit me hard. I didn't feel sorry for the dog, I felt sorry for us people! I mean, I can only hope to rebound from losing something like a leg the way that dog did.
My point is that animals bounce back very well, and I hope Misty shows you exactly what I mean!
Boo still wants to sniff at her a bit :)
