Ain't it funny how we passby a lot of stuffs, only to find out how great they can be if we have a concept in mind? It took me awhile to notice this simple rope....

By the way, I saw your thread about the unintentional b/w, they're great....

Did you happen to have this one in color? I like the black and white, but the bleached out colors of wood and rope can be so rich.

No, I don't have this in color as I "intentionally" :D used the b/w mode in the S2 when I shot this.... knowing the side lighting and the texture would be more prominent in such mode....

I enjoy this shot also, Dennis. It's a good reminder that there are unlimited possibilities available in things we ignore everyday, if only we have the foresight to stop ignoring them! Also, I love the way the S2 handles textures. Definitely one of the reasons I just bought one.
