I bought a refurbished one off of ebay - and well, it was semi-charged and worked fine when I got it.. then the batteries died - so I plugged in the adapter and now it won't charge. It started to power up and dies. I thought "okay, maybe the batteries died completely" - but it should still work if it's plugged in right? Have any ideas on what it may be? Thanks!

I'm not familiar with how this battery/charging system is configured for this unit, but it sounds like the battery is "totally dead". In most battery charging systems that I'm familiar with, the battery acts as a voltage/current balancing device and is in line during the charging process. If the battery is "totally dead", it acts as an open circuit and not only will the battery not charge, it will also not pass any power to allow the device to operate.

See if you can get an exchange or your money back. Good luck!

Could it be that the charger is not making a good connection w/ the unit?
I know my unit's USB was pretty loose when I purchased it.
What happens when you plug in the charger? Do you see the "charging" or the "on" indicator light on the top right conner?

no.. no light comes on when I plug in the charger - the problem. BUT - when I plugged it into my S2 Charger it worked fine.. once. Then it decided, "Eh, I don't like that charger either.".. Same thing happened with another charger. It's almost as if my chargers are disposable. Use it once and bam, dead. I don't get it. I'm sending the hunk of junk back.
