Hello all,
last week I bought a new S2 and a Nikkor 24-85 G lens. During the last days I'm doing a lot of tests and trying to learn the camera.
Today I noticed 2 stuck pixels, one green and one red. Generally they are hidden inside the color patterns, but every time I shoot dark scenes, they are there. Is it within specs/acceptable or shall I send the unit to the service?
As an example I'm sending a crop of the green pixel (you have to zoom to 100%).
I've contacted Fuji and they told me that max 10 dead/stuck pixels are acceptable.
Thank you for the replies,
Dimitris

I've had a couple pixels pop up and actually go away within 10 or so shots before. I've also seen one other person here send thier camera back to Fuji where they can map out the bad pixel(s) or replace the camera/ccd at thier discretion. If it bugs you that much, call Fuji and RMA it, or live with using Photoshop to stamp it out. Others may have other opinions here as well...

I've had exactly the same green dot since day 1 with my S2. As I've mentioned in a previous thread, Fuji UK say that 3 are the industry standard. I contacted my supplier (Warehouse Express) who said that they would replace it for me and today they contacted me to say that they finally got spare stock and have sent me out a replacement. I have also noticed that the green dot seemed to be a cluster of stuck pixels and over the last week or so have noticed more green dots appearing, although these are smaller. I would get in touch with your supplier and try your luck. With an expensive camera like this, I don't really think that any defect, even 1 stuck pixel is acceptable. You can also try an have Fuji map it out.
Good luck,
Iain

I had lines appearing at 1600 as well as several stuck pixels that seemed to only appear in jpgs. I also have had sharpness issues. And finally I am on the recall list. I called Fuji and they called me right back. Without seeing the camera they said they would replace it. They also said one day!!! We will see. If you are unhappy, send it back. I just hope you dont get a worse one!

I contacted Fuji about mine (2 of them), and they said to send it in and they'll fix it under warranty. I haven't yet, since they don't bother me that much, but I will one day.
