I just got a Canon 24mm TSE lens and its awesome. I was trying to photograph this video deck with the 17mm and couldnt get large enough DOF, but with the 24mm TSE its posible by tilting the lens so the image plane, lens and the subject plane coincide at one point!

...with 17mm lens at f5.6 (swtopping down to f16 didnt increase dof that much since subject is so close)

Yep, an amazing optic. No other technique will do the job! Nice work.

If I remember well, Sneakyracer said a few weeks ago that he had swapped to Canon !!!! He's not using S2 anymore !!!
Nice results anyway... even if it's from a  K...anon !

Yeah, I forgot to mention, pictures taken w/ a 10D. That TSE lens is a big reason I switched to canon since nikon doesnt have a 24mm shift lens much less with tilt and cpu. I tried to source out an adapter to use canon lenses on nikon bodies but apparently it cant be done since the nikon mount is too small. So I switched to canon and sold most of my nikon stuff. I kept a few lenses and purchased several canon lenses. I can still use the nikon glass on the canon camera, even the old MF nikon lenses have focus confirmation and apperture priority autoexposure (stop down operation) on the 10D! Although I have yet to buy the adapter. (got four canon lenses which pretty much cover the wide angle to med telephoto range, 17-40 f4L, 24-70 f2.8L , 70-200 f4L and the 24mm f2.5L TSE)

I guess with nikon one can try and use Zork adapters that offer a tilt feature but dont know which lenses are compatible and how well it works though. All u nikon guys might wanna check that out, zork also has a lot of cool adapters available to use other brand lenses. http://www.zoerk.com

Yes, he adapted the use of an old Canon (FD mount) 35mm f2.8 TS lens on nikon, but those lenses were made for the extinct canon F1 cameras. :)

I have a zoerk,.. works great. Utilizes my old enlarger lens that was collecting dust anyway. The Scheinder I use is very sharp.

Yeah it doesn't couple to the metering, which does matter since I am strobing in studio with my speedos.

I use it regularly to shoot circuit boards on an angle.
