Again not really mine , but this was my main bike during the 60's ,
note the twin carbs .This is a 750cc later model , mine was a 650 cc , still capable of over 140mph .

Hi Brian - have you seen the new Triumph Thruxton 900 (http://www.triumph.co.uk/site/bikes/page.cfm?BikeID=82) - a cafe'd single seater bored out version of the (new ) Bonneville !
My partner is lusting after one - she started with a 2000 Kawasaki W650, which was based on their W1 which was a Bonnie clone back in the 60's I believe - but we're both hooning about on traillies at the moment ! :D
Keith.

In Canada, actually.
This was my 3rd scoot back in 67, my first being a 51 BSA B33 500 plunger Iron Head, 2nd a Beezer 60 650 Road Rocket .
This 66 Bonneville had then Hornet hi level straight pipes so it wound up like a Oerlikon anti aircraft gun.
Sonic booms under low overpasses always made the day.
It is shown with its Wecor Jumbo Butterfly clamps, finned header oil lines, and swiss cheered chain guard etc.
The rolled, pleated, and bulleted seat was posh in its day.
It had Sportster grips on 16 inch risers,so it had the moon disc end.
Fun, wow.
" Baby, everthing is all right ,up tite, plain outsite" by Stevie Wonder, was playing on the radio , when I first saw it and also when I forked over the cash.
When ever I hear that tune , I think of that ride and smile.
Theyre playing our song.

Nice shot Brian. I like the crop - it looks very professional.

Thanks Andre , i try .
Doug that pic takes me back, i never had high levels , but what we used to do , was to drill 5-6 small holes on the inside of the exhaust about level with the front of the rear wheel , if you used a long bit , it would go through the front of the baffle plate as well , and sound like a jet fighter .
funny thing is , like loud music , as you get older it drives you up the wall .
when i hear them revving up at traffic lights i want to shout , ''shut the f~~k up ,'' but i was just like it . sad .
