Took this at a local bike show .
cut it out using quick mask , put on a gradient layer, converted to black and white .
i've left the reflection of the background in the headlight , i have'nt got enough cloning area to make a good job of it , so i've left it alone .
This make of bike , brings back so many memories , my first bike after passing my test back in 1965 , was a trophy like this , converted it later to twin carbs and called it a bonnyville , it was'nt but it felt like it to me .
Later when i got enough money i bought a bonny . but this has a special place in my affections .

Nice treatment.
Almost makes it look civilised  (I've just been watching a programme about Indian m/cycles on the Discovery channel).
:p Sorry I can't be more polite about it but the two wheeled memories of my youth involve Vespas so I'm sure you understand what a rift there would have been between us back then.....
:righton:

Sure do Robin ,
Already talked about the ''mods and rockers'' fights of the 60's ashamed to say i got involved in many at Brighton , Southend , and Margate , spent time doing time over some of them .
Still can't see a squirrels tail without wanting to drive the owner off the road .
ah memories .

Glad I was still at school and stayed out of trouble in the sixties (didn't get "motorised" until 1970).
Funny how quickly fashions changed even then - I was more your pacifist, hippy type.
Cheers, Robin

Thats a big "was" robinp, no longer a hippy type as seen from the tie in your avatar hehe
Smunky,
My avatar is just as misleading as yours and many others here - the last time I wore a tie was when that shot was taken two years ago at my brother's wedding. :)
Cheers, Robin

Brain,
Nice scooter. I goofed off on a plain old 305 Honda and others in the "60's. Just about got killed on a 250 Kawasaki by a pickup truck in '77 and don't ride much anymore.

Dale i don't often comment on comments , but that is not a scooter .
you can't insult a old rocker more ,than call a motor bike a SCOOTER . :(
I'll let you off , as you're not british so don't realise the significence of that remark,, robin will.
Melody stop hijacking my thread .
nice avatar BTW. nice to see your eyes .

Oops, sincere appologies. The term "scooter" has been used for years as an off-handed reference to a fine motorcycle, usually chopped. On this side of the water, "motor bike" is nearly as bad for refering to a motorcycle as scooter is to you! The closest would just be "bike".
Peace?

Apology accepted Dale .
The 'Mods And Rockers'' fights of the 60's were between the ''Mods'' they wore the latest fashion and were pin sharp ,rode scooters , and the ''Rockers'' we were scruffy ,wore leathers and rode loud large bikes .
The fights mainly on bank holidays , at seaside resorts in the mid 60's were viscous and bloody , at one time in Southend i think there were 1'000 mods against the same number of rockers , people were crippled for life ,if not worse . shops, cars, houses were ruined , many police officers ended up in hospital along with the gangs .
It petered out as it began , but it inprinted itself on the memories of people who were there.
I was one .
