finally got to see the first season of this very funny TV from the UK. If you like mockumentaries, and witty satire with an English accent, you really must see this...
Just waiting for series 2 to come out on DVD!

Hi Ian,
Glad you like it. I was watching a re-run last night and even after the third time they still posses the cringe factor. Sadly the second series is to be the last but that I believe to be a good thing. We don't want classic stuff like the Office to end up like "Friends" or Fraiser which in my opinion have been done to death.
Steve

"I think we all know David Brent, yeah?... in us a bit, yeah?...ONE of US, at times, yeah?... he's one of us and we're 'im at times ,yeah?...."
thing is some people get this kind of show, others can't see what the fuss is about. My wife yawned and walk out the room the first episode, meanwhile I am snickering to myself. Can't wait for the second season to come out in DVD
Up here in Canada they did a very similar show based on a newsroom, called, oddly enuff, The Newsroom,... in fact I think the Office nicked a bit from this show. The new director is as shallow, crazy and narcissistic. It was meant as a one off but huge demand force another season. You can buy the scripts in book form, DVDs etc... all very similar,.. Highly recommend the first season of The Newsroom, the final episode veers into campaign politics, some cringe worthy campaign moments!....

Us Brits do have a sence of humor after all then Smunky!
Have you seen the follow up yet from the final series. It was after David Brent was fired. He ended up working as a rep for a cleaning co. Among other things he joined a dating agency, released a record which of course was a complete flop and Tim finally got it together with the receptionist.
Ricky, your a genius..
:D
