When I took this (couple of weeks ago), it was a bright day with blue skys, except something ominous on the horizon..

Man...what a great shot...I love the treatment you've done here. What a rich photograph this is.

I really like it. It says so much and the relationship between the buildings and the sky/clouds.

Not as dramatic in color:

You're right - way better in monochrome.

beautiful in mono Bill. I would have taken out the stray branches at the top left before going to mono though. But, just my preference. The clouds look great back there behind the house though!

Wonderful image, color or b&w but the black and white really makes this shot a standout. good choices!

Bill,

The B&W shot is awesome as it really makes the clouds look ominous. Very good treatments.

the b&W version is beautifully dramatic - looks like a really stormy sky (that drama seems to get lost a bit in the colour version) - your PS treatment is excellent. Reminds me of the old days, when using red filters to achieve this kind of effect on film.

Chris

Yes, Chris - I used a 'simulated' red filter in the digital darkroom ...- (amazing thing this digital stuff:) )

Yep - nice one Bill - I like the soft/hard contrasts - especially the 'weeping' yellow tree. Nice use of a 'colour filter' :)
