Hi To you all,
I have a Fuji s2 pro, and I am thinking of buying a Macro lens or a converter. I would like to get your help for the best lens or coverter I should get for Macro photography.
Many thanks for your help.

I waiting tomorrow or postomorrow for my new 60mm micro 2.8.

I will post my judgment soon.

I have the 60mm D series f-2.8 lens and like it very well. We have an old 105 Micro but it doesn't see much use on the S2. I also have an old PB-4 bellows. On the bellows I also us several enlarging lenses that really work fine. The S2 on the bellows requires trial and error exposure because the meter does not work. The S2 takes a little bit of manipulation to get it to work on the bellows, due to the battery compartment .

I don't do many macros, but when I do I use the sigma 105 macro...
I have heard many positive things about the Tamron 90 macro...

I previously had the sigma (old) 180mm macro, but found it difficult to handle.

You're really going to like the micro 60!

Today I have received my new Nikkor 60mm Micro.
I have had only the time for some releases.

The results are excellent!
A sharpness that is out of the common, also
using him as little/tele 90mm with the S2.
It is worth all the money that it costs.

To make to have you an idea of the macro ability, I have made an attach.
The picture that you see has been gotten, copying (1:1) an old
(1982) slide (35mm).

(The color of the face of my wife is due to one
day passed on the Mont Blanc (Alps, Italy) to 3000 meters)

Abufaisal, buy it now!

I used to have an old manual focus 105 Nikkor, but when I got the S2 and discovered that the meter wouldn't work with it, I traded it in and got a Tamron 90mm autofocus. I had a previous manual focus version of this many years ago for Pentax and I liked it a lot then.

The new one is lighter but it seems to be just as sharp as I remember the old one was. I like the length for portraits as well. Although some might say it is a tad long (equiv of a 135mm on 35mm film). The macro abilities are past 1:1 and I feel it handles quite well.

The attached shot is of an african violet. The yellow section measures about 1/4" across. The exposure was f22 and around 1/3 of a second using daylight and a tripod. There isn't much depth of field and this is about as close as the lens will focus.
