My Metz has now arrived, but I suspect that it has the wrong SCA - it has come with the 3402m2. Has any one got this combination? The Metz website recommends the 3402. Having said that is also recommends the 3402 for the Nikon F65, and this adapter specifically says it works with the F65. Confused? Yep!

Hello Gary,
you are on the secure side - you just have the advantage to have the most actual version of the SCA for Nikon.
The SCA systems starts with the first Adapter - 3402. Then you have the first changes - 3402M. Now you have the actual version - 3402M2. I am not totally sure, but I might have heard, that this one also works with the Fake-TTL of the D100 (not sure and also not necessary for the S2...

Peter
PS: I love confusion - do you know that they also have the 3401? Technically it's the same Adapter, but it will not fit on the 54, because during the change from the 40MZxx modells to the 54/44 the shortened the Adapter... :righton:

Peter,
Thanks for the help. I also had a very fast response from Metz customer support confirming what you say - I had expected them to take 2 or 3 days to reply and it was only a few minutes. The legendary German efficiency!
