Hello everyone!
I'm considering the S602 as a secondary/backup camera to hand to an assistant or second photographer when doing weddings. I'm leaning this way because it's low cost, standalone (doesn't tie-up lenses for S2), probably able to switch cards between S2 and S602 w/o reformatting, and probably has the same/similar results except it's in a lower resolution. Whadyall think?

For shots up to 8X10 it is hard to tell the difference between the S2 and the 4900. However an S1 might be only a few hundred dollars mor than the S602 and would offer more versitility as a backup.

I use a 602 as my back up camera. It is excellent value for money. The 6x optical zoom is great and so is the macro. Saves carrying a number of lenses. For A4 prints it is fine. You also don't worry about carrying it!

Best wishes,
