Hello,
I just bought the s2 with Lexar 256 compact flash. After a couple of shots, I am getting these "write error" messages and I don't know what's going on.

Could this be a problem with the camera or the media?

Sounds like it could be either..

I'd try re-formatting the media and see if the problem persists.

You could try the obvious:

* check the camera's writing ability by using another CF card
* check the media by using a card reader/writer or PCMCIA adapter
* try to find out if the card is compatible with the camera (I've heard that not all brands work). Anyone else using this card?

I guess these depend on you having additional hardware though.

If you can establish the camera will work with another CF card, it's probably enough justification to return the memory.
