Anyone know where I can get a LCD cover for the S2 online; I lost mine?

Thanks in advance,
Terry

You can get them direct from Fuji. Here's the link to the parts phone number:

I took off the tupperware cover when I bought my S2, and it's still in the box. I've been using a little square cut out of of that clear vinyl PDA protector screen, and it works great. Plus you can actually see through it! My camera stays in the case when it's not being used, so I only have to concern myself with light scuffing - not impacts, so I don't need it.

Regards,

Matt

I lost mine on the first trip the camera took. I also use a PDA protective film that I cut to size.

There are some precut protectors on the market: http://www.daproducts.com/lcdp.htm

I prefer the protective film to the milky plastic protector. The Fuji protector might afford a little bit of impact protection in addition to scratch protection, but I wouldn't rely on it.

B&H sells one from Hoodman.

Here's the link.

Is there any cover that minimizes the contrast? Can't see thru the tupperwear one at all...but without it, that lcd is terrible. The image on the lcd looks nothing like the one on the computer, even with the brightness turned all the way down. White's look blown out when they aren't.

I don't think the LCD can be improved by any cover material. It is too bright and too contrasty. I use the histogram to judge exposure.

I cut a piece from a lightly tinted report cover. On the right, I left a tab to slip into the groove. On the left, I used a little double sided tape (3mm x 35mm).

I just cut up a PDA screen protector for all the glass and clear plastic parts on the S2 (top display panel, rear display panel and LCD monitor). Doesn't fix any LCD display panel issues -- and it doesn't match image -- but does stop any scratches.

LOL. Yeah, I'm about an hour an 15 minutes from San Diego. Spent a lot of time down there since my brother spent 15 of his 20 in the Navy stationed there.

<--- Jelous. I went out there this past July for Siggraph. It became one of my favorite places instantly.

I punched a small hale in the lip and tied some cotton to it and to the neck strap bracket. This has worked amazingly as I can just flip it off and not worry where it will end up!!!

At the speed of this technology I don't think I'll have my camera systems long enough for the lcd's to get scratched...
