View Full Version : How can I remove a colour cast in PS?

I took a lot of photos of someones wrist recently against a plain background. All had a slight colour cast on them.

Is there a way of opening two pictures, one with a cast and one without a cast. Then telling PS that a specific point in one photo should match a specific point in the other. So the incorrect photo gets the cast removed?

Does this make any sense?? !! :):help:

There is supposed to be a way in PS CS but I am not quite sure how you do it.

There is a "Match Color" in Photoshop CS. Never used it though, but reading on it, it will do what you want in this case.

Just posted a thank you reply in another thread that I think this one helped with. So I thought I'd mention it here also.

Thank you

Last night I was 'playing around' is PS as I took a few indoor shots with the built-in flash, and probably had the wrong WB set. I don't think this is an 'official' fix, but it worked for the shots I took:
Open the original
Duplicate the layer
Duplicate the layer again
Top layer ..... Auto Color
2nd layer ..... Auto Levels
changed BLEND mode on top layer to COLOR
can also adjust opacity if needed .... this worked for me
