fingers crossed,... I am trying to get ready to shoot tethered for a big location shoot today... Suddenly I realized my software doesn't work.. I hope this update is a stable one...

Well I updated and it seems to work ok.. The addition of the preview window in the Tethered software eliminates the need to even have the image link to the FinepixViewer which si fine by me cuz I hate that prog.

Ok its the next day I am home from the shoot... (it was in a remote town, up north hence my apprehension)
Seemed to work fine for the most part but every once in awhile I seemed to shoot too fast for the buffer and the camera would lock up and I'd have to wait till it cleared. I was shooting RAW so that IS a lot of heavy lifting, so I guess it's understandable. I did my test shots in Jpeg and those were very quick.
I was pumping them into a 800mhz G4 powerbook. The software cacked once when the 'book went to sleep,.. so I would suggest changing the power saving settings to avoid that,...

Ian,
I shot with it on location for the better part of the last two weeks. Everything went AOK. I don't think I shot a lot of frames in fast succession to confirm your report. I have the same Powerbook and I did have it go to sleep a few times, luckily my software didn't quit but I pretty much caught it right away.
