lately I have been shooting a lot at night. Here is something I got the other night, I am quite happy with it, but I would love some feedback

very abstract, but at the same time quite documentory. And it feels VERY empty (spacewise).

I don't know, whether I like it or not. Some part says "YES - cool work"; but from an emotional point of view I dislike it (probably due to the loneliness implied by the empty space).

I guess, I'm not very helpful in evaluating this pic tonight.

Cheers,
Chris

well, I certainly respect the way you feel about it, I feel torn about most of my work.

Jeff,

I look at it and keep looking for something. empty bottle, evidence of foul play, do I watch too much tv? The painted lines and the line of the wall lead my eye right out of the picture.

I guess it doesn't tell me anything so I'm trying to make up something. If there were empty bottles, evidence of a party there or grafitti, it'd tell me what I'm looking at other than a parking garage.

Shooting at night is a learning experience, that's for sure! Sometimes black and white works, sometimes black and white is all that works! Little hard to do a custom white balance with no light!

Show/tell us more. This could lead to a great thread.

I with Linda on all points except the party trash. :) I looked at this for a while yesterday, came back to it this morning. All I keep thinking is that this is some preminition shot for a killer who's going to post shots of a struggle in progress or something.

Not saying that you're a killer though. :)

Jeff...yeah...very lonely feelings...I'm wondering where the chalk out line is? Good exercise in night shooting...and emotions of a shot. Reminds me of a murder scene revisited...

I find alot of despair in this shot. Reminds me of a crime scene photograph. It's very lonely and dark.

That tree shot...it's...it's...it's...inspirational!!! Makes me want to go out and shoot up into my trees. Thanks for the cool idea. Glad to see the not so normal stuff here too...

Isn't this place great?
