View Full Version : Contact Sheets

I'm trying to settle on a software for printing out nice contact sheets from raw files.

I know the finePix viewer has and index print feature, but is not very customizable (is that really a word?)

I'm looking for something that my clients can take with them, looks nice, and lets me add studio and maybe customer info on it.

I need it to be easy to use (i'm fine with setting it up, but I'd like my support staff to not struggle with it!), and work from raw files in order to not have to spend time converting every file.

If any one has suggestions, please let me know!

Thanks
Barb:rolleyes:

Have look at ACDsee V5. http://www.acdsystems.com/English/index.htm

This has some of the features you need and a lot more as well.

I have tried them all.... and the winner is Thumbs Plus.

I own Thumbs Plus and I didn't know that it would convert Fuji RAW files. What version will convert the RAW files.

Try QImage Pro--initially authored for printing tasks. Superb S2 RAF file conversion/printing software. Interface takes some getting used to, but it is worth the effort:

*only QImage, Fuji LE/EX converter, Bibble, and Sharp Raw currently will convert S2 RAW files. IMatch will be offering limited S2 RAW support in their next release (but no conversion capabilities).

It is called Pix Print and can be found at:

It is mainly a print utility that does great contact sheets and is a breeze to use. I teach amature photography at a local recreation center, and I recommend it to my Digital Photo students. They all love it because it allows them to get easy prints from their camera at two or four prints per sheet of paper.

whoops... I just read that you wanted to make custom contacts. Qimage is the way to go for raw conversion.
