There's a new standard in AA/AAA battery chargers. The Maha MH-C401FS "Cool" charger rapid charges NiMH or NiCd type AA / AAA batteries with the precision that only microprocessor technology can provide. Designed with four seperate charging circuits to handle one to four batteries independently of each other. And thanks to its lifetime warranty, it may be the last charger you'll ever buy.

I agree. These batteries and charger are best deal going. Does AAA's as well as AA's and you can mix them. Note that each battery position is charged separately, it has a slow/fast setting, and the charge times are as expected. The size is small enough for the features. I got two extra sets of batteries for backup. I do recommend leaving lid open when charging.

Yup. I've been using this charger for at least two months. The only disadvantag is the large wal-wart power supply.

My S2 came with a set of batteries and charger I've not tried, but the advertising on the box is interesting. This Maxell charger (looks just like a Panasonic charger) advertises, "Charger will recognize charge level of each battery and charge them individually." Since it came with 1600 mAh batteries, I doubt that it is as sophisticated as claimed. Unlike the Maha, there is only one charge indicator light, so no way to test the claim.
