It does a fine job of translating RAW files and it links directly into the FinePix Viewer. In the US the Hyper-Utility comes with the camera but in Europe it is an expensive package that must be purchased separately.

The Hyper Utilities software and EX converter are not free. They must be purchased from Fuji either with a camera package (as in the case of the US-sold cameras) or separately.
Please do not use this site to request or to disseminate pirated software.
Thank You.

Photographers should be very sensitive to the need to respect copyrights. Especially in this day of easy scanning. If you want to use it then you should pay for it. However, in the case of the RAW File Converter EX that is missing in S2s sold outside of the US I would recommend every S2 owner write and complain to Fuji. Good companies listen to their customers and just maybe in the future they will make it available for free. But then I suppose all the people that purchased the software will be pretty hacked off with the fact that they paid for theirs.

I reluctantly forked out for the Hyper Utility EX last week. It is not supplied with the S2 in the UK. Having said that I am delighted with the results from it. I recently took pics of a friend's daughter's christening. Her gown was white and the highlights were lost. A couple of adjustments with the Hyper Utility soon turned them out fine. I am glad I shot them RAW.

I am a UK based photographer, and like many others I had to stump up £130.00 to buy a copy of the EX converter. The fact that this software came as part of the package to our friends over the pond is not lost on me. I would urge all UK S2 owners to send a polite e-mail to Fuji UK, I doubt that it will rectify the situation but a full inbox of complaints might encourage them to include all the software with the S3 or whatever digital marvel they introduce next.
Happy Shooting

I don't know if this indicates a new trend for Fuji, but I bought a S2 last month here in Madrid (Spain) and it came with the HyperUtility Software package :) (but not with the AC charger)
Cheers.
