Actually not a test, but a few shots.
The lens is really superb and really fun to use! :)

Great shots and yes its a great lens.
I'm having a lot of fun with it too. It's amazing how close you can go to an object with the autofocus.
I've just finished moving and finally my dsl is working again, so I'll go out and get some shots tomorrow.

Thanks Anthonie, really a "special" lens. You need towatch how close you come to a subject, as the viewfinder picture may deceive you! :)

Now you've done it!.........Gone off and got GOOD. All those shots are tack sharp and well balanced. What great color! Is the fisheye a Nikor?

Thanks Mike, you make me shy! :o
Yes, I started from "almost" zero and gained A LOT of knowledge on this forum, and I thank you as well as every person who helped me!

Yes, it's a Nikkor 10.5mm/2.8 DX fisheye lens I've received with the other two lenses yesterday (one of them is ill-fated 85/1.4).
After trying it I thank Goodness I lost an auction on Sigma 15mm fisheye a while back :)

BTW, the third lens is 28mm/1.4.
I'm still about to give it full testing. Can't get "unstuck" from the fisheye...

Igor,

Now that you've had this 10.5mm for awhile, are you still excited with it?

Have you used "correction" software with any of the images?

Thanks,
Scott

Agree with Smunky. It's "one of a kind", just sees the world it's own way. A sweet!

Igor,

Hey there....I have the 16mm Nikkor fisheye. Only problem is on digital it isn't nearly as "fisheye" as on film......

HENCE the 10.5 I guess. I don't shoot much film anymore, so I would be temped to dump my 16mm in favor of the 10.5 My question to you is......

Have you used a 16mm shooting digitally and how do you like it compared to your new 10.5

Sorry Adam,
never tried neither 16mm Nikkor nor 15mm Sigma fisheye's.
In any case I am sure the 10.5 would be a winner on a DSLR.

Adam,

If you want the fisheye look and you're planning to use in on a DSLR, you're going to have to get the 10.5mm DX lens.
