Does anyone know how to get rid of the fuji advertising on the right hand side of the thumnails screen, as it has effectively turned my 19" sony into a 17" sony.

I suggest that the best way is to complain to Fuji.
A large number of emails may convince them that it should be customisable to display/hide.
