Please help! I have had my S2 plugged into the ac adapter with the shooting sogtware on. (I got the hyper-utility after I realised I needed it to shoot last week). The power cord came out from the socket when the tripod was moved and all power was lost. Now I can't turn it on at all. I am aware of the other problem some people are having but I can't even get an "err " message or anything. It simply is dead. I have tried all batteries out and in, ac out and in and am at a loss.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Deb

I don't think this will help since you say you tried all the batteries "out and in".
.. but just in case, take all the batteries out of the camera, then try the camera with only AA's, (check they are OK) don't put the CR123's in.
The camera, alarmingly, plays dead with exhausted CR123's inside. This gotcha gets everyone (including me) and panics them!
If it doesn't work, I'd say you have a fault and need to get the camera repaired/replaced.

Thanks, but nothing works, not even with all batteries out and mains power on. I have contacted Fuji Australia and they have already organised me a replacement to use for 10 days while mine goes to Sydney and back while they check it out. I'm impressed!! I'm interested to know if this is the same fault as Fuji are checking worldwide.
