I'm new to digital photography and have several question I was hoping could be answered.

I just bought the Finepix S2 with the intention to use it for editorial use...approx 1 1/2 x 11 full page. I shoot celebrities and shoot fast, maybe one/two frames every second, no faster then my Speedotron. Just playing around with it, I'm finding if the camera is set at High/4256 or set for at Raw format which I'm assuming I need to do for reproductions, that I can only shoot about 6 frames within 20-30 sec. with about a two minute wait for the camera to catch-up. It's that the speed of this thing or is there a way of speeding this up. If not this camera will be on e-bay in no time..just not exceptable for shooting. I just can't imagine the popularity of these cameras if that is as fast as they get, so I think I'm might be a naive as a new user.
Also, if I hook the camera up directly to a G-3 I-book can I gain speed. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the imput.. I'll be out of the country until January. I'll check it out when I return.
Is it normal for the camera to be this slow and these settings?

Why don' t you try JPEG fine at 6MP and see if it meets your reproduction requirements? The speed will be much faster.

Matt

shooting at tiff format is really a pain.. try shooting at Fine (jpeg) mode. just covert them to tiff after you download. you can hardly notice the differences.

either that or i shoot in raw and do the conversion when i get back..
