read it somewhere that consumer CCD has a normal life span of 15k to 20k clicks.. then it starts to degrade..
how long would the super-ccd last?

Where'd ya read that?
That mechanical shutter is going to go a lot sooner than the CCD.
I did a search on Camera CCD MTBF and it seems to range in the 5,000 - 20,000 hour MTBF range. That's a lot of shutter clicks at 1/125 sec.
But if you want to burn it out quick, point it at the sun for awhile!

Matt
