I have a Sigma 17-35
Tamron 28-70
nikon 70-210
I'm thinking of getting rid of the Nikon 70-210,
and the Tamron, and buying the Tamron 28-200mm.
Has anyone used one on ther S2.
How big a differance from the XR and the Super?
I want this for a all around lens.
thanks jim

Hello jlbishop,

I tried the lenses you mentioned in your posting, but at the end I bought the Tokina 24-200.

Why? Quite easy: better mechnical quality, better results and a better Zoom-Range. But try it first, because many people complain about the big degree for turning the zoom - I have no problem with it, because now I am used to it. Anyway, for me the bigger angle in the beginning is worth the handling.

The lens works great for me. However since most of my portrait shooting is done at zoom ranges the lens really is a 5.6 for me.
