Hello S2pro users

my question is_after connecting the Mb 16 is it posible to use the
buildin flash on the S2?
my proplem is after the con. the message on the small LCd
tell's me " Close W/O CR 123 "What to do?
Ps. The borders from the Mb 16 are grinded away and the Mb is very close to bottom of the S2.

I too have a functional flash with th eMB-16 installed. I wrapped electrical tape around the parts that stick up into the CR123 compartment enough to trip the little switch. If it's installed, you should get a good full battery meter on the top LCD once you've got fresh batteries in the tray- you might check that first as a hint that the MB-16 is connecting well.

Some simple checks are:
With MB16 unattached to camera can you measure 6v at the two contacts on the top that go into the S2.
If Yes, then you ae getting a poor contact inside the camera.
You may need to add some additional height to the contacts (not recommended as you need to be very good with soldering iron) or to adjust the point of contact with the internal conatcs (see recommendations by Theo and Paul).
I have been lucky with this and do not need any additional packing on my S2.
Good luck.

Hey guys....
Do I need any other batteries if I go and get a MB 16?
I tried another external solution and it did not work for me.
Thanks

woow...
just installed it, took about 5min to take of the edge with a sharp knife, some tape on the bottom and I had to add a touch of foil to the connectors, but the camera responds better than ever, focuses faster and is like a new baby...
jiiiipiiii....
so stoked, looks cooler too...
Thanks for your advice
