Need a little HELP on this darn thing. :beat:

I'm trying to get to the "Custom Menu" screen.

Seems as if I'm stuck in the "Remote" mode and can't get out of it to make other settings. I can get back to the "LCD" screen by holding the "Sel" button, but that's about it. Holding the "Sel" button again takes me back to the "Remote" mode. One vicious circle.

The "Mode" button does nothing...did I lock the Mode button out, is that possible?

Darn I hate reading manuals even this site (http://www.nikoncls.com/SB-800/sb800_cls_master.html) doesn't help.

Dave, have you mounted the flash on the camera? if not, the only option you get is "remote" mode.

Yeh, tried that after your suggestion...nada. Gonna replace the batteries...or maybe keep the batteries and replace the SB 800...naw too co$tly.

I just reset the darned thing...dunno what happened, nothing learned either.

Unfortunately Dave, the only thing I thought of was to set the flash when off camera, but... seems it doesn't work...

...maybe someone else might come in with a better solution, although as you said you even tried to RESET the darn thing, took the batteries off, etc... I don't know what else to suggest !
