that I purchased the beginning of this year. At the time I had heard that hp was really good. I liked it b/c it has a built in card reader and fax and scanner and an optimized dpi of 1200x4800.

HP says if you use their Premium Plus paper the prints are gauranteed to last 73 years.

The main problem I have with it is the ink cartridges don't seem to last too long.

I just got my S2 and joined this forum in September. The Epson printers seemed to be the most recommended here. I was just wondering if anyone else has a hp and if so what pros and cons you've encountered?

I also use HP, the Photosmart 7150. It's a basic printer without a cardreader, etc. and uses the two ink cartridges containg six colors. I am very happy with it as I get consistently sharp prints. My only complaint is that it's slooow. However, I am too, on occasion. The ink consumption doesn't seem too bad, either. I usually get about 25 8x10s out of both cartridges.

I also use the Premium Plus paper, and have had no problems with fading up to the 1 year of use.

In summary, I think HP puts out some great photo printers, especially for the price. Hope you enjoy yours.
