I know this dosen't belong here and I'm sure that Swampy will move it to it's rightfull place. But!

Just got hold of second hand SB28 which came recomended from this here forum and as expected one has a number of questions to ask.

I understand the S2 works better ( more consistant ) without this TTL setting, something I read on this forum. Am I right! Evidently it's best to use it in the "A" setting!! Secondly I don't seem to understand shutter speed's as I am unable to get ubove 1/60??? Is this normal.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who can help me.

Hi Steve,

Great to see someone else from this side of the water. I don't know about the flashgun but the shutter speed flash sync is a maximum of 125 I believe (someone will correct me i'm sure) but on automatic it reverts to 60. If the shutter was any faster then there would be flash cutoff like any reflex camera. Cameras like hassleblad have a shutter in the lens which means there is not curtain to move so flash sync speeds can be as high as they want.
