This lady came over to me while I was walking through the courtyard at Grace Church on lower Broadway, NYC. She was clean and well fed so she was obviously the church's cat.

Well someday when he's taking a nap otherwise I'll never get him, I'll try to take a picture of my kitty. He's got me as well trained as my dogs have...
Love watching them just lay there like they own the world, then rolling over as they know of course we will rub their tummy!
Great colors!

My method when a strange cat comes up to me is the usual tweaking behind the ears. If the cat likes it I'll do a little more stroking around the head. Some of them will roll over and invite the belly rub, but I never do it. Those four claws and teeth are at the ready - you never know when the cat might misinterpet your move and launch the defenses.
Great color? Thanks! My seven year old Nikon 3200 still can do the job.

Tug Boat Festival Weekend is September 4-5-6. The Tug Race is September 6th. If you think you can attend I can try to get you on the photo chase boat with me.
I'm hosting sunset harbor cruises on June 15, July 21, Aug 18, and Sept 15 - all at 6:30 PM from South Street Seaport. We look at tugs and terminals, ending up with the sunset shot of the Statue of Liberty. I'll post more info once tickets become available.
