Years ago I bought a Minolta film scanner and hardly ever used it. Too much trouble to get a scan that I considered inferior anyway. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but the whole process was slow and a drag.
I just purchased a CanoScan 8800F and it is great. I am using it for medium format as well as 35mm. It is easy to install, fast to scan, and results are excellent.
Now I can dive into my 35-year stockpile of slides and negatives. I'm especially interested in scanning the medium format stuff.
By the way, scanner price was $180 with free shipping and no tax.
