Great capture Dave! Definitely a 'wall hanger'.
How close were you to them? Do they spook easily like deer do?
Looks like you still have a lot of snow.
Regards,
Bill

Thanks Bill. ;) No, Moose don't usually spook like a deer...they have an attitude. They have been known to stomp a VW somewhat flat when the driver blew the horn to get them moving off the road. The cow will charge to protect her young, etc. Weighing up to 1,500 lbs they can do the number on ya. :woot:

Hey great capture!
Well since they have 'attitude' I'd use a long lens and be in the Mercedes!

Just finally got to see this shot on a real monitor! Love it!
This past weekend, I was shooting a Norwegian Elkhound Specialty. Those people are CRAZY for MOOSE stuff! OMG....for years this one woman brings in this rack from a moose, for me to use in my photos. I finally got it in the win shots this weekend. Now she's very happy!
This photo would be a GREAT thing for these guys to buy from you, and give as awards for Best of Breed. They'd go NUTS for this! I'll have to tell them about your image.....I'll try to help ya sell some prints to them! :D

Thanks Alissa for helping.

Awesome capture of a mom and sibling. What a marvelous opportunity you have for observing wildlife in Alaska, raw nature for your lens to capture.
